Vivant Art Collection 5 Year Anniversary

Vivant Art Collection celebrated their five year anniversary with a week of events culminating with a festive food and wine pairing and live jazz. Gallery owner Florcy Morisset is determined to keep the vibrant gallery relevant and alive through these difficult financial times by offering affordable, desirable artworks from around the world. The gallery was packed on Saturday 11/17/2012 with well wishers and collectors and Florcy addressed the happy audience: “Today we’re celebrating five years in the arts business and today is the final day of our celebration. I definitely want to welcome you to our wine and food pairing, right now quiche with cabernet (yummy), later the music will start with jazz by Warren Oree‘s Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble. You’re welcome to stay the whole night. The next entree’ will be out soon with a different wine pairing”

“We’re excited to have these events because they would not have been possible without our sponsors and supporters and friends. And tonight, the whole week actually, has been sponsored by Willie Manley Nationwide Insurance and tonight is her special night, she is the hostess. With the mostest! She will be doing the announcements throughout the evening, and so without further adieu – Willie Manley

Willie Manley: “Good evening! Thank you very much for helping me celebrate five years at Vivant Art Collection. Congratulations Florcy! Five years in business – that’s a milestone. So tonight, let’s just eat, drink and enjoy the beautiful masterpieces. And thank you for coming.”

DoN introduced himself to Willie Manley and asked how she got to know Florcy Morisset and the Vivant Art Collection? “I met her about three years ago and I just had to get behind her. I’m just so proud of Florcy, and I just find it so important to support what it is she’s trying to do. I’m a small business owner as well, so I know how hard the challenge is that comes along with that. So, anything we can do to support each other is only going to breed success all the way around.”

DoN pulled Florcy Morisset aside and noted how happy she looked. “I am happy! The week was amazing, we kicked it off with an interior design event, and we honored some really wonderful female politicians on Thursday and then Friday night was really amazing with out art sale. We sold over twenty pieces, the art auction was a huge success. Danny Simmons, Russell Simmons brother, came down all the way from New York and tonight is it! We close out with a food and wine pairing which we’re excited about as well. Our featured artist is Nigerian, Hussain Saidi, who is actually a Tanzanian artist – it’s all for sale you can visit us on-line at www.vivantartcollection.com – the artist is amazing.”

Florcy Morisset: “We have a new website that just launched where you can buy all of our art as well as our services. We’re working with interior designers as well as museums, institutions and celebrity artists as well. Some of the service we provide is we hang art in people’s home as well as helping them place it – a lot of people buy art and never place it and it sits on the back of the coach and never gets up, so we can help with that.”

WRTI Radio DJ J. Michael Harrison introduced Florcy Morisset and Willie Manley again to the audience with his kind words, “We’re celebrating the anniversary of this establishment and we have a very exciting concert in the house ahead tonight but let me introduce Willie.” Willie said, “Thank you everyone for coming and we want you to enjoy the art, fall in live with it and take it home. Tis the season! Let’s say you find that special piece, then you can find Florcy or her assistants, and let them know what you’re interested in and then the good news is everything is priced to go tonight. So I invite you to eat, drink and spend lots of money!”

J. Michael Harrison: “You may have noticed that there is musicians? You know I’ve known these guys forever. Anyone remember West Oak Lane Jazz Festival? This is the guy who made that happen. He says it’s coming back, so please put your hands together for the Arpeggio Jazz Trio! As they serenade you tonight, Mr. Warren Oree on bass, Mr. Greg “Juju” Jones on the drums and Umar Raheem on the saxophone.”
